IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) Federal prosecutors say two Wyoming men have been indicted for their roles in the slaying of an Idaho man whose remains were found by hikers earlier this month.
The skeletal remains of Tad Barnson were discovered three miles east of Riverton, Wyo., on the Wind River Indian Reservation. The Post Register reports that the (http://bit.ly/ZLbfLF ) former Idaho Falls resident had been missing since 2006.
On Wednesday, federal prosecutors unsealed an indictment accusing Vernon Lee Brown and Alan Brown of first-degree murder and aiding and abetting. Both suspects are Wind River tribal members.
Barnson's death was ruled a homicide from blunt-force and penetrating trauma injuries. An autopsy showed multiple wounds but investigators aren't sure what kind of weapon was used in the attack.
Both suspects made initial appearances in court Wednesday.
