The woman who was found beaten to death yesterday in the Cabana motel in Boise has been identified.

The Ada County Coroner said Mamokete Folkes died at about 5 a.m.

Charging documents allege Thomas Herman hit the woman with his hands and feet, causing a fatal brain injury, broken bones and a lacerated kidney.

Herman was on probation for threatening Another woman with a knife.

He remains in jail without bond.
