A 14-month old Caldwell boy is in Saint Als for a serious injury after being shot by a BB gun at his home.

According to media reports Police say it appears the BB gun was fired inside an apartment on South  Montana Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m. by another member of the family.

Paramedics took the boy to West Valley Medical Center where he was transfered to Saint Als.

Officials haven't released any information on what part of the boys body was injured.

The case is still under investigation.
