A shift in population from rural to urban areas continues in Idaho.
The Census Bureau report from 2012 showed over 5600 more people moved out of the rural counties than moved in.
It's just the opposite for urban areas.
Statewide Idaho's population grew by nearly 12,000 and most of those people moved to Ada, Canyon and Kootenai counties.
603,000 people live in Ada And Canyon counties alone.
Statewide population is 1,595,728.
