Homeless families in Meridian are going to get some help from a new partnership between a local non-profit, the city of Meridian and the Meridian School District. Superintendent Dr. Linda Clark says it will help at least six families this semester break the cycle of homelessness and become self sufficient. The non-profit involved is CATCH, Incorporated which brings together leaders of all faiths, businesses, governments and the United Way to pay rent and provide other assistance for homeless families for six months. There will be a news conference Thursday morning to announce details.
