Boise Police have arrested 55-year old Thomas Herman on 1st degree murder charges in the death of a woman found in a motel at 16th and Main.

Police were called to the Cabana Motel about 7 this morning to investigate a report of a disturbance.

They found an adult female dead in a room.

Police found the suspect in the immediate area and have determined that Herman knew the woman.

Officers obtained evidence that indicates the suspect is responsible for the death of the victim.

A coroners report said the cause of death is blunt force trauma due to an assault.
