Several factors have pushed Ada County home prices about one-third higher than January last year.

A drop in supply of homes for sale plus a lack of distressed properties on the market has pushed the prices up.

And that has caused a bidding war for buyers.

Real Estate offials predict  things will settle down for the remainder of 2013.
