(NAMPA, Idaho) -- Police are asking for assistance in finding a driver who fled the scene of a scooter crash Saturday night.

According to the Idaho Statesman, police were called to the scene of the crash around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. The preliminary investigation showed the scooter and a white car were travelling in opposite directions on 12th Avenue Road in Nampa at the time of the crash.

After the crash, the car fled west on East Sherman Avenue, witnesses told police.
