(BOISE, Idaho) -- A former prison officer was arrested after an investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct involving at least one inmate.
Roberto Guiller Escobedo, 30, worked at the Idaho Department of Correction for over two years before being terminated in January, says to the Idaho Statesman.
The investigation into Escobedo's conduct was initiated by the Department of Correction's Office of Professional Standards and later turned over to the Ada County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Statesman, Escobedo was charged on Monday with two counts of sexual contact with a prisoner, a felony with a maximum sentence of life in prison. He was booked into Ada County Jail on Thursday.
