(BOISE, Idaho) -- Gov. Butch Otter announced Monday that Emmett will host the next Capital for a Day on Wednesday, March 27.
The governor brings state government to Idahoans who live outside the Boise area each month by making a different Idaho town the "Capital for a Day." The meetings provide local residents an opportunity to have open discussions about government issues with the governor, his cabinet and other senior state officials, Otter said in a news release.
The next event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Emmett-Carberry Intermediate School in Emmett.
