(BOISE, Idaho) -- A man was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of causing serious injuries to a 22-month-old boy.

Police were called to a Mountain Home residence by paramedics Tuesday afternoon with concerns about the injuries suffered by the young child. The child was unresponsive, according to the Idaho Statesman.

Paramedics took the child to Saint Luke's Boise Medical Center for treatment, but the boy died Wednesday morning as a result of apparent trauma, says the Statesman.

Laubach wasbooked into Ada County Jail and is currently being held on $500,000 bond.
