I just got back from a week long vacation to the Caribbean on a cruise.
I've always had a great time cruising and even though the itinerary of this one had to be changed because of a mechanical problem; it was a lot of fun.
Our final port was Nassau in the Bahamas.
I just got off the ship and a dock worker wearing a rasta hat looks up and says..."hey blue football field..great team man." Amazing how many people know about the Bronco's.
So I get off the ship, and in pulls the new NCL Epic which is the third largest in the world. This boat holds 4100 passengers and a crew of 1700. For this old Idaho kid that's more people than lived in the town I grew up in. The tourist shops actually applauded the arrival of this ship..and its money.
But the star of the morning was the Disney Magic pulling into port. It just looks majestic. And everyone on board just looked like they were having the time of their life. They had bands playing and kids and adults using the water slides. And instead of the ship sounding a usual ship's horn, the Disney ship's horn played the first bar of "When you wish upon a star." From that point on I had Mouse envy and can't wait to book a trip on it.
And to everyone I bragged to about the 80 degree weather I was in while it was snow and ice here, my cold I was almost over when I left is trying to come back. Just call it revenge.
