My neighbor has already started mowing his lawn! Doesn’t surprise me because this is the same neighbor that will mow 3 times a week in the peak of the season because the grass “looks a little rough.”
He’s almost given up using an edger because a pair of long blade scissors works better in the front yard where everyone sees it.
He has a fertilizer company come and do his yard about six times a year, but a week or so before they come he gives the lawn a “little feeding.” I guess it because he wants the pros to feel like they’re doing a great job, but it’s all him really.
His sprinklers have been going for over a week now getting everything off and growing.
He’ll water some of his bushes and plants in the evening and give them a little treat (fertilizer) if they’re good to him.
Did I mention that the full moon in the summer is not in the sky? Nope, it’s my neighbor bending over to pull out a weed that had the nerve to try and grow in his yard.
But why I’m writing this blog is to say thanks to my neighbor Ron. Yes he’s fanatical about his yard and house but nothing makes you want to do a good job on your yard more than having someone like him setting an example and always willing to help you achieve results.
For the record, my yard pales in comparison, but I’m trying.
I hope you have a great neighbor like I do. It makes living next to him a joy rather than a pain in the a.. uh, you get the idea.
