Wow! How Things Have Changed!

I wish kids today could go to school without the kind of worries there are today. Back in my day, had what happened at Heritage Middle School happened at my schools, the principal would've addressed everyone on the intercom to learn who brought a "double edged axe" to school. Or, a grumpy coach would've gotten to the bottom of it. No, wait a minute, the principal wouldn't have addressed the school over the intercom. And the grumpy coach would've continued teaching history or driver's ed. Because back in my day we didn't have to worry about someone going on a murdering spree at school. And there was a shotgun or a rifle in the window rack of about every other pickup truck in the parking lot at my high school. But times have changed. And what happened at Heritage Middle School in Meridian is the reason. I'm glad it turned out to be nothing but a shovel. But I'm stilll sad for kids today.
