U.S. House hopeful Raul Labrador further aligned himself with the tea party movement during a swing through Washington, D.C. by calling the Minnesota representative who heads the new Tea Party Caucus in Congress a ``visionary leader.'' Labrador, a Republican state lawmaker facing Democratic U.S. Rep. Walt Minnick in November, says Rep. Michele Bachmann is leading America from the brink of financial ruin. On Wednesday, Labrador filled in for Bachmann at a ``Fire Pelosi'' event aimed at unseating House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after this fall's elections. Labrador has also spoken at tea party rallies in Boise and was the darling of right-leaning delegates at June's Idaho State Republican Convention. There, they passed measures praising gold and silver and urging repeal of direct elections of U.S. senators, two big tea party issues.
