Idaho's military force could grow
Idaho Governor Butch Otter and Boise Mayor Dave Beiter launched a joint campaign today to bring the F-35 Strike Fighter to the Gem State. Governor Otter said if the Air Force selects Idaho it could bring upwards of 3000 jobs to the Gem State..."with 6 squadrons being bedded down in Idaho, you can just imagine the other businesses that would move in to supply 3000 folks on the mission." Mountain Home and Gowen Field are on the Air Force's short list of places to base the new fighter jet.
