Republican U.S. House candidate Vaughn Ward says he's awaiting the outcome of alcohol-related charges against one of his campaign consultants before deciding whether to continue their professional ties. Jason Lehosit, arrested four times for drunken driving since 1998, remained in Ada County Jail in Boise Wednesday after his arrest last week for violating conditions of his probation. Ward, whose campaign has paid Lehosit about $9,000, says, ``I want to wait until I hear directly from the courts. I will not tolerate flaunting of the law.'' Lehosit had been drinking, court officials said, a violation of his 2006 punishment for felony DUI. Ward is running against state Rep. Raul Labrador from Eagle in the 2010 GOP primary. Gov. C.L. ``Butch'' Otter, whose campaign paid Lehosit more than $70,000 since 2008, severed ties following his arrest.
